Serial killer on dating game

Serial killers have been the subject of numerous films and books, but few people realize that one of these killers actually appeared on a dating game show. Rodney Alcala is an infamous serial killer who appeared on the popular show "The Dating Game" in 1978. He disguised himself as a charming and caring man, and managed to win the female contestant's heart.

Little did she know, though, that Alcala had already been convicted in 1971 for raping and beating an 8-year-old girl. He was out on parole at the time of his appearance on the show.

The show's producers were unaware of Alcala's past, which allowed him to charm and manipulate his way into winning the hearts of the female contestants. He even proposed to one of them, though he was later disqualified due to the background check uncovering his criminal history.

Between 1977 and 1979, Rodney Alcala is believed by many investigators to have been responsible for at least seven murders in California and New York. He was, thankfully, eventually arrested and sentenced to death for his crimes in 2010.

It is a chilling reminder that even in a public setting, a serial killer can disguise themselves as a normal person and manipulate those around them. While Alcala was eventually caught and sentenced, it is still important to be aware of those around us and question those who may not tell us their true intentions.
